Chicka Chicka Boom Boom!!!

That's right, it's my favorite "theme" week of the year!
This is Chicka Chicka Boom Boom week!!

This year, I decided to revamp our chicka activities for my kids--last year the activities and worksheets were so generic and honestly they were not very interesting, challenging or engaging!

So since this past summer started, I've been blog hunting, pinteresting and scouring the internet for some more chicka activities that were more than just worksheets! I mean really, how engaging or differentiated can worksheets be???
(It's been my personal goal to steer away from worksheets- and so far, so good!)

Of course we started off by reading the book, checking out my chicka chicka tree (from Lakeshore) and listening to the animated story on United Streaming. After doing that, it was game time! So here are a few of the new Chicka Chicka Boom Boom activities and games that I've found! My kids have just loved them this week.  We have more activities and chicka crafts to do before the week ends, but this is what the kids have seen so far!

Here is a great capital and lowercase letter matching game!

I'll be sure to post the rest of the Chicka Chicka Boom Boom stuff we do later this week!
I just know the crafts and food activity will turn out cute!!
