To end our first week of Chicka Chicka Boom Boom, my students made a Chicka snack!
They loved it!
This is what one of cute end products looked like:
So here were our ingredients, plus apples (which I cut before I got pictures of):
And here is how we assembled our Chicka trees!
First, I gave each child half of a graham crack, which they broke on the dotted
line and put then put them end-to-end.
Then, I passed out apple slices for the tops of the trees. I started out with 2 slices per kid but most kids ended up with 3 apple slices.
Then, they added raisins as the coconuts.
Lastly, they added the alphabet letter cookies!
All of kids loved making their trees and loved eating them even more! :)
Next week, I'll continue with Chicka activities
(because I just flat ran out of time with all the cute activities I had planned!)
