Thanks for all of the ideas!! I love the idea of adding it to our class books--WONDERFUL! :)

ElizabethMRs hodgehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12021656260338944508noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8210977528933434526.post-14027470400770592442012-08-02T20:20:52.370-05:002012-08-02T20:20:52.370-05:00Check out the dollar bins at Target...well actuall...Check out the dollar bins at Target...well actually $2.50. They have these primary color trays/tubs that we use for everything. They are approximately 2 inches deep and and 9x12 inches. We put felt in the bottom of these to cut down on noise of dice or other manipulatives. I also use these trays as mini sensory tubs for independent work. For instance, in the spring I pull out items from the sensory table...plastic frogs, plastic plants, small terra cotta pots, rocks, etc. and place them in four or five of these trays. I put felt in the bottom of the trays. (I also use the felt to cut up little mud puddles and ponds for imaginary play.) Also, we use felt to give a tactile element to our books...ladybugs, apples, etc. Enjoy!Kathynoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8210977528933434526.post-59464150878485121812012-08-02T15:12:02.891-05:002012-08-02T15:12:02.891-05:00My-o-my Laura!!! Yes, I've seen them as math mats but I've never thought of using them as dry erase board erasers or pillows!! Thanks for sharing! I see some projects in my future!!!!

ElizabethMRs hodgehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12021656260338944508noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8210977528933434526.post-64990716801681335772012-08-02T08:00:24.436-05:002012-08-02T08:00:24.436-05:00I use them for math mats (to roll the dice on). I also cut 4 inch squares and we use them to erase our dry erase boards. You could make a pillow with some for your chair. You can cut out a rainbow and some color words for them to match. Have fun!Laurahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00827401608677447554noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8210977528933434526.post-39405582515898231002012-08-01T21:50:30.225-05:002012-08-01T21:50:30.225-05:00Ohhhh, great ideas! Or maybe for the kids to use in a self-portrait-they love to "design" their clothes.

NotJustChild'sPlayMiss Trayershttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07994698870486768685noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8210977528933434526.post-61381938731594907692012-08-01T21:34:40.975-05:002012-08-01T21:34:40.975-05:00You can use your school die cut machine and cut mu...You can use your school die cut machine and cut multiples of the same image. For example you can cut 5 frogs and do the 5 little speckled frog song. I cut out lots of little fish and I use them for an addition/ subtraction station. I have a little fishbowl that the kids use to put the fish in and out. You can cut multiples of anything and use them as math manipulatives.
KindergartenLove.Cindyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02662545918193814823noreply@blogger.com
