Happy Friday everyone----we made it to ANOTHER one!!
I love Friday's, not only for the obvious reasons of course, but Friday is our day to meet up with our 2nd grade buddies.
I have partnered with a second grade teacher at our school to practice skills that the kids need help with. The second graders are always so nice to my kinders and my kids just love that a "big kid" hangs out with them!!
Today, the kids practiced their numbers with a fun snowman activity! My kindergartners had to roll a dice and tell their partner what number they landed on. They then had to find that number on the snowman. The second graders were in charge the glue and making sure the little ones glued a cotton ball on the correct number. The kids then had to roll two dice and practice adding the numbers together.
I didn't have one complaint during the activity and everyone was able to finish their snowmen completely---not to mention they were engaged in the activity for the whole time!!
I call that a success!!
